InSights Into Data provides a way to export the data in a datatable out to an encrypted file. This exported file can be imported at a later time so that you can view it, explore it, and share it.
When you choose the Export to Viewer File from the Ribbon Bar - you will be presented with the following screen where you can choose what options the person viewing it will have.
You can choose to allow or disallow the user to do things like Print the grid, view the Dashboard (if any were included), use the Pivot Grid, Export it, etc.
Once you choose a file - and click the Accept button - you will be presented with the following screen that will allow you to add your own encryption to the exported file.
However, one thing to keep in mind is that even if you choose No Encryption - the file saved to disk is Encrypted with a Password that is only known to the InSights Into Data application and our developers. This means that even if you do not put a password on it - the file cannot be accessed by anyone else other than someone running InSights Into Data. This is done to help safeguard your data! The encryption is 256 bit - so it should meet both the USA HIPPA and Canadian encryption requirements.
